Come join us for our November General Meeting. We are pleased to have our very own, Judy Fassett speaking about hospice care.
Judy has lived in Huntington Beach since 1980. She worked at the Corporate Offices of Rockwell Internarional in Seal Beach and El Segundo from 1972 until 2000 when it moved to Milwaukee. At that time she began her own event planning company in Palm Springs before being diagnosed with breast cancer. After a year of treatment she was offered the position of Hospice Volunteer Coordinator at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center where she had been a long time hospice volunteer. Since them she has been the Volunteer Manager at Odyssey Hospice in Buena Park and the Volunteer Coordinator at Evergreen Hospice Care in Cerritos. She has most recently assumed the additional responsibility as Volunteer Coordinator for the newly established Palliative Care program at Evergreen Hospice Care. She has also consulted with start-up hospices establishing new volunteer programs.
